Paramananda Madhavam Sri Caitanya Isvaram

Nice to see so many devotees up! I didn’t think you would be up so late;( it is only 10.45 pm now!) Mahavaraha told me to make it quick, but you are so late that means you want to hear me! So I will make it somewhat quick! Ha! So, the translator. So I was hearing today different departments. One group of devotees said that the senior devotees are not being respected, and the other group was saying that the senior devotees were not respecting the junior devotees! That they are using unparliamentary words. Even on other peoples’ wives! So just like, for me it is a very different situation, because I love all of you! Everybody should be treating every other vaisnava and vaisnavi with utmost respect. So somehow, everybody is feeling they are not treated nicely. And they will say, oh, it is the other person’s fault. Actually, we should treat each other so nice, that naturally everyone will feel very satisfied! They told us in the GBC, that we should be very careful how we deal with others. Anuttama prabhu, the GBC minister for communications, he told us that you praise some person next to you. You can try this; it is very effective! He said, first you say something of appreciation, praise for the other person. Then you say something critical, constructive criticism. Then you say something again, praising the other person. You try that! We tried it, you try also! Speak to the person next to you and say, oh, you are very good at coming to the kirtan – say something real, not just to flatter, real thing! Then you say something, constructive criticism. But your kirtans, sometimes you mix the verses. Then you say something, praise. But I like your service attitude, it is very spontaneous and natural, for example. So in this way the person doesn’t feel that you are just critical of him. If you have to say something, constructive criticism, sandwich it with two praises!! This is the vaisnava etiquette. And if the person is a senior devotee, then don’t give any constructive criticism. You can ask a question; you are always allowed to ask questions. Prabhu, you are such an advanced devotee, I always look at your example for my inspiration! But sometimes I see that you are doing this thing, shall I also do that? So asking a question is not offensive. But if you say something to a devotee that is senior to you, Prabhu, you are in maya, you should do this, this, this! That is not your position to tell that, that is for the guru to do. But you can ask questions. So we have to be very expert in vaisnava etiquette. To avoid committing any offence. We want all you devotees to advance, to the stage of ecstatic love for Krsna! But if you offend each other, then it is not possible to advance. So I think the Malaysian devotees are very nice! I don’t know how this situation has come! Maybe it is my fault, I am not qualified, I have not taught you properly! So I hope that you all please love each other, and at least respect each other. I hope that the Malaysian yatra will continue to increase, and become more and more exemplary in every respect. All glories to your service! Caitanya Mahaprabhu as Nimai Pandit, He would defeat you, but He would always speak so nicely that everybody felt, He appreciated him! Nitai Gauranga! Nitai Gauranga! Jaya Nitai Gauranga! Nitai Gauranga! Nitai Gaura Hari bol! Haribol! Haribol! Haribol! Jai Srila Prabhupada ki jai! I will let you all take rest. All glories to Srila Prabhupada! Haribol!
